decision possible when choosing sleeping arrangements for their children. For families trying to conserve space, bunk beds and loft beds provide the perfect solution. When used in children's rooms, they provide more space for other activities and toys. Siblings can share a bedroom or friends have a permanent sleepover solution using bunk beds. Loft beds work best for a single child stuck in a small room. By including desks, drawers, cabinets and trundles into the bed design; a loft bed can essentially eliminate all other furniture from the room!
Here is something to ponder. Can a two-year old, a twelve-year old, and an eighteen year old all sleep in the same type of bed? Of course if you do it right. A twin size bunk bed or loft bed makes so much sense for a young family. You can separate the bunk beds at first for the two-year old and use just the mattress on the floor for a while. Then, use just the single twin size bed alone for the preschool years. Use portable side rails if necessary. When your child is old enough to sleep in a bunk bed (age six for the top), you can make the twin size bunk bed into bunks.
Storage beds don't have large box springs or other heavy objects so it is easier to pullup. Small stills on the back end of the storage bed pulls out, allowing it to rest easily on the floor. Storage beds are great for storing seasonal items under the bed to help save space and keep your room from becoming cluttered. However, if you have a wood floor you might want to place a space rug in the area so when it is folded out it does not scratch the floor, do to the movement of the stilts.
