Be willing to pay for a closet organizer that will keep all of your bedroom items where they need to be, for a long time to come. Spending too little can actually be a real mistake, and will cost you more in the long run. After all, buying multiple new organizers is a lot more expensive than simply paying for one that won't break. Plus, it increases waste, with broken organizers ending up in the landfill more often than not.
One essential thing to consider is how much clothing storage space you need at the present time, plus what you might need in the future. This may be especially so with a growing family; for example, teenagers become more fashion conscious and start needing more storage space. Fortunately many of today's bedroom closet systems, so even if you underestimate, or your family's wardrobe grows quicker then expected, then you can usually add things like additional shelves, shoe rack, double hang closet rod or tie rack.
