Your own bedroom is the place which you see last when you go to sleep and also is the first place you see when you wake in the morning. These two are the times of the day when you are most eceptive to receive any messages, good or bad. That's why you can make use of this fundamental reality to unconsciously program yourself almost automatically, by taking care of your bedroom. In short you can "design" your bedroom as a self help tool.
You can also experiment with the shades of the bedroom walls. The soft pastel shades are pretty common as shades of bedroom walls. But you can paint one side of the wall with a dark but beautiful shade and keep other walls milder to maintain the color balance. Another good idea is using the wall papers or other designer stuffs to give the walls some unique texture.
